Default I downloaded prmm but can't even install

I deleted latest prm version .4 (software, control panel, uninstall software)
I manually deleted bf/mods/prm folder

I downloaded newest version prm .5
When I doubleclick the file inorder to install: my pc slows down and freezes
And when I reboot it takes ages to get my desktop back.

Then my pc starts working again as it should.
Of course prm is not installed.

Has this something to do that I run windows 2000?

nb The early versions of prmm worked fine.
the version before this one .4, also had this problem. It even crashed my pc
Blue screen and all. The pc shop had to repair a file of my windows.

Can someone help me?

hummm, sounds odd....

have you tried leaving your pc for around 10/15mins after it has froze? it could just be the CPU trying to sort itself out as its such a big file, but its only a little smaller than v0.4 thou so umm, ye...

if that doesn't work, try to download it again from anouther source...

cant really help you apart from that sorry.

Win 2000, that 10 yrs out of date. Xp update is kind of cheap these days.

Corrupt v.5 file?

vBf2 updates are real slow to run for me.

1) could be a bad download

2) the back of the BF2 case says "Windows XP (32bit) with Administration rights"
