Chechen faction question

I've been playing with the Chechen faction for a while now, just wondering what exactly it adds to the game. Maybe I just didn't pay enough attention, but it feels like a flag change for the militia faction, it even has (kind of) the same kits and skins.

It's mostly a flag change but with added 90s gear/camo for some of the unit textures. +1 to the immersion so why not?
