Reccomended downloads for decreased memory usage?
Okay, I was cleaning up my computer the other day, and I was amazed and shocked at the amount of memory it took up. Roughly 7 gigs apeice for 7 cores, clients and patches.
I was wondering if a developer or someone that really knows the structure of the game could post links to the downloads that are NECCESSARY for gameplay on the newest patch, yet take up as little memory as possible. Please? I want to start playing again lol |

Re: Reccomended downloads for decreased memory usage?
Uh.. Sure. I guess a better way to put it would be that I've been playing since .6, and I've just kept stacking every patch since then.
Like a new one would come out, and I'd install it on top of the old ones, without deleting them, thinking I was doing the right thing. I was wondering if I HAVE to keep stacking every patch I download or if there is another way to do it |

Re: Reccomended downloads for decreased memory usage?
Ahhh, you shouldn't have to keep all the old ones.
Project Reality : Battlefield 2 Mod - Mod File Links All you need is the Client core (v0.7) Size: 1183MB, Client Patch (v0.75) Size: 280MB, and the Client Levels (v0.75) Size: 932MB As a good mesure I always uninstall pr when a new version comes out. Will solve allot of problems before they can start. |

Also, only count the 7 gig once. It says that each of the files uses 7 gig, but that's not correct.

I think he's been looking in add/remove programs and believing everything that his smegging windows OS is telling him! You live and learn! Today we've learnt what it says there isn't necessarily the truth.
