HELP - suddenly I CTD every 5 minutes

I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden since last week I've started to CTD with no warning and no error message like every 5 minutes. I also play bf2142 on the same computer with no problems at all. Is there any way to figure out what's going on?

My system:

Vista64 with 4gb
intel dual core @ 3.2ghz
GTX 280

After this first started happening, I updated my graphics driver but it hasn't helped (maybe it made it worse?). Nothing new has been installed otherwise.

I've updated my punkbuster manually and that hasn't helped at all. Basically I seem to CTD within about 4-5 min of playing. It's even crashed will waiting to respawn.

Also, I tried restoring my system to about 10 days ago, when I wasn't having any of these problems - but the problems persist. (I updated punkbuster after restoring)

Intel core quad CPU Q9550 2.85GHz

ATI 4870

all new, my old computer was experiencing the same until I gave it to my mother yesterday....

now my new shiny 100fps computer is doing it! Help!

Tried the bf2 memory fix (for the EA DOWNLOADER version!!)
Tried running as admin, UAC is turned off, compatibility for xp sp 2, desktop composition disabled.

Firewall is not blocking Punkbuster, running a DMZ on my NAT firewall address also.

have run PBsetup and PBSVC with no problems,

ran in windowed mode, was no error message

strangely enough, I joined the DM server to test, and I was there for 2:42 mins, then I made a squad, as soon as I pressed the voip button, I crashed- if that helps.

It looks like you are using the downloaded version, if so, I followed these steps and it solved the problem.
